Jill suggests that blogging be used to
teach students about citing sources. Which is good, because plagiarism is ugly and students tend to take their sources for granted. I've seen research papers where entire paragraphs seemed eerily familiar until I realized that I've read them someplace else. It's more than just footnotes and MLA in-text citations. It's honoring intellectual property: Somebody thought of an idea before you, so give that person credit where credit is due. Links are a good way to start. Teach Comm II students blogiquette.
